KIT Wi-Fi Disconnects from iPhone During Live Sessions

Sometimes you start a session successfully, then it disconnects after that for no reason. Use the following steps to stabilize the connection and stop these disconnects by:

  • Resetting the Wi-Fi, and if that does not resolve the problem,
  • Removing and re-adding the Wi-Fi


How to Reboot the iPhone

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi.
  3. Locate the current Wi-Fi connection and switch the slider to the off position.
  4. Reboot the iPhone.
  5. Enable the Wi-Fi.


How to Forget the Wi-Fi Network on the iPhone

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi.
  3. Locate the current Wi-Fi connection. 
    Note: To the right or the current Wi-Fi connection is a circled i button. This is commonly known as the additional information button.
  4. Tap the additional information button.
  5. Tap Forget This Network.
  6. When the Forget Wi-Fi Network <network name> message appears, click Forget


How to Reset Wi-Fi Network Settings on the iPhone

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Tap General.
  3. Open Settings.
  4. Tap General.
  5. Tap Transfer or Reset iPhone.
  6. Tap Reset.
  7. Tap Reset Network Settings.

The iPhone resets its network settings and then restarts, which takes a minute or so. When you can use your phone again, enter your passcode. Your phone should automatically reconnect to your cellular provider. If your iPhone does not auto-connect to your mobile network, contact your carrier or Apple for support.

You will need to rejoin your Wi-Fi networks. Tap Settings Wi-Fi and then tap the name of the network you want to join. If prompted, enter the network password and then tap Join.
